Travel Appointments

MASTA (Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad)

Fit for Travel

If you are planning a trip abroad, you can use the websites above for up-to-date travel advice for your destination. Then, you need to book an appointment with a nurse for your immunisations. Please remember to book a telephone appointment in advance of your travel date to ensure that you receive the correct advice and treatment that might be required.

Please download and print the Pre travel health questionnaire and bring it with you to your appointment.

Travel is a non-NHS service and unfortunately due to the current demand on our nursing appointments, we are unable to give a comprehensive travel service at short notice but will continue to provide the following travel vaccinations, which are available on the NHS for registered patients:

Tetanus, Diptheria and Polio booster - 10 years protection

Hepatitis A - 25 years protection after 2 doses

Typhoid - 3 years protection

Please be aware that some travel vaccinations are not funded by the NHS and we no longer offer these. Please see below for details of alternative travel services in the area who can offer non-NHS travel vaccinations. There will be a charge for these vaccinations. It is important when travelling abroad that you have the appropriate travel advice, vaccinations, and anti-malarial medication.

If you require a computer print-out of your vaccination history to take with you to one of the alternative services, please contact reception to arrange this.
