Appointments BOOK IN ADVANCE
Crossley Street Surgery offers a range of appointments,
which can be booked up to one month in advance. There is
no need to ring at 8am to book these appointments.
Contact our receptionists at any time between 8am and
6pm.
GP, Nurse Practitioner and nurse consultations are by
appointment ONLY.
To make an appointment, please telephone (01937) 543 200
or call into the surgery. You may see any doctor of your
choice. The doctors feel, however, that they will get to
know you better if you see the same person wherever
possible.
We are constantly trying to improve our appointment
system to allow better access to GPs and Nurses.
Telephone appointments are available after morning
surgery where the doctor will phone you back if you
wish.
AUTOMATED
PATIENT CHECK-IN
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve patient
satisfaction, we have installed an automated patient
check-in, which will allow patients to check in without
having to queue at Reception. This is located on the
right hand side of the Reception area, as you enter the
surgery.
The system is simple to use. Just touch the screen and
identify yourself using a combination of your gender and
date of birth. Your appointment will be confirmed on the
screen and you will be directed to the correct waiting
area. The GP or nurse will know that you are waiting.
If you have any problems with the new system, or if you
need to talk to a member of staff, you can, of course,
go to Reception, where we will be happy to help you.
Home visits
Home visits are for serious illnesses, and for people
who are housebound. Requests for home visits can be made
by telephoning the surgery on (01937) 543 200. Please
telephone before 10:30am, as this helps the doctors plan
their rounds. If you can give the receptionist a brief
description of the problem, the doctor will have some
idea of the urgency of the call.
